The first iteration of the next-gen Holo Hosting is almost here! Building on insights from the alpha program (thank you, participants!), this update focuses on:

• Enhanced security: Locked-down defaults to future-proof the platform.

• Better support: Tools and updates for seamless troubleshooting in a distributed internet.

Key advancements rolling out soon include:

• HoloPort Operating System: A streamlined OS for Holoports.

• Reduced dependencies: Greater reliability by minimizing reliance on external services like ZeroTier.

• Tighter security: No externally available services—communication now flows through a single, defined API.
• Improved tools: Diagnostics to help hosters and customers track network connectivity and authentication.

• Expanded workloads: Initial support for Holochain DHT apps, paving the way for hosting diverse paid workloads.
