The HoloPort Alpha Program has 399 HoloPorts currently registered for the program. We need to have at least 800 of the 2000+ HoloPorts that were already shipped to be signed up before we activate the program and begin paying to use HoloPorts during Alpha testing. For all of you who have placed deposits and are waiting for HoloPorts, those are coming... manufacturing is moving along at the pace we expected and we are still planning for Q4 deliveries.
For those who previously purchased Nanos and who have been offered a priority upgrade to a HoloPort - that window of opportunity is closing soon and we will open up another small batch of HoloPorts for sale to the general public again soon. Priority will be given to those on the waitlist.
Holochain continues to release new features and functionality regularly as testing of sharded networking by the Holo team proceeds in full force. For the nearly 2000 people who are registered for the open alpha release of Elemental Chat - that is now planned to begin when the HoloPort Alpha program is activated, which may also coincide with the upgrade of Elemental Chat to work with the latest version of Holochain.
