We've had lots more progress on multiple nitty gritty details with regards to hosted Elemental Chat, our proof of concept P2P app accessible via a regular web browser. In particular we have seen a boost in the performance of the hosted infrastructure on multiple fronts including: Faster and more reliable message receipt equal to that of self-hosted elemental chat. More reliable connections--and auto-reconnection functionality in some circumstances--between Elemental Chat users, HoloPorts, and the Holo infrastructureImproved UX when there are errors, so it is clear when and what went wrong Improved UX that makes multiple 'quality of life' improvements while testing elemental chatWe're inviting a small group of pre-release testers into the environment and are looking forward to hearing about their experience, and to see if they encounter an edge case that has been difficult to reproduce but that we need to learn more about. These improvements are both important and exciting because all of these learnings will be directly reflected in increased performance and resilience for the Holo hosting network.
