Today we reached the Longitudinal hApps Test milestone as we invited approximately 200 people to begin using hosted Elemental Chat, again. If all goes as planned we'll open it up so the public can try it out in the next few days. There is no significant change to our proof-of-concept app Elemental chat for this release. The changes are below the surface in Holochain and in some of the Holo hosting infrastructure. This version of Holochain includes sharding and the milestone is about demonstrating Holochain apps continuing to work well over the course of several weeks or months. It is being hosted by 300+ HoloPorts scattered around the world.
If you would like to read more about our last public test please see our Successes & Learnings blog post.
About Holo
Holo is a distributed cloud hosting marketplace for peer-to-peer apps built on Holochain. We're helping to build a better Web.
Holo is to cloud hosting what Airbnb was to hotels—anyone can become a host by turning their computer into a source of revenue, getting paid in HoloFuel for hosting peer-to-peer applications to the legacy web. By hosting P2P apps, you support a web that empowers your peers and communities.
